In her own words . . .
As a wife and mother of three, I've learned that life doesn't always flow in one flavor. It's a multitude of colors and dynamics that shape who I am today. My motto, "Helping people grow better," is the foundation of all my work - assisting individuals in finding hope, recovery, and a better direction in life.
My favorite food is empek-empek, a traditional Palembang dish. For me, empek-empek is more than just food. It is a reflection of life.
Empek-empek has a savory flavor that brings comfort, like simple moments that strengthen. There's a salty flavor that reminds me that life isn't always sweet, but it can still be enjoyed. There's a spicy flavor that symbolizes challenges and processes that are sometimes difficult, but actually build resilience. Also, there's a sour flavor that brings freshness, like new hope amidst struggles. All these feelings blend together, like the life journey I've been on and encounter in each person I mentor.
Furthermore, I love the color green. For me, green symbolizes life, growth, and recovery. Psychologically, green is often associated with calm, balance, and security. This color reflects what I long for in every aspect of one's life. Everyone needs a sense of security.
My involvement in PEARL's work stems from a deep belief that every woman has immense value. Women are not weak or to be looked down upon. They are God's creations, loved, respected, and possessed of high dignity. However, in reality, many women, both children and adults, still lack the attention, protection, and education they deserve.
I completed my master's degree in 2021 at Tiranus Bible College in Bandung. In 2023, I pursued certification as a professional counselor.
As Rumah Mutiara Coordinator is where I feel needed. I believe that through education, mentoring, and genuine care, women can rediscover their worth, find strength, and rise above the limitations or wounds they've experienced. My heart is moved to be part of that process, strengthening, accompanying, and reminding them of their worth in God's eyes.
