As Executive Director of PEARL, Mike (mee ka)Yanti Sinaga leads the organization's comprehensive approach to combating human trafficking in Indonesia. She oversees the entire organization while personally developing and implementing human trafficking prevention programs through socialization efforts, seminars, and workshops. Her hands-on leadership extends to providing counseling assistance for survivors and vulnerable individuals, as well as building crucial networks with local organizations and government agencies.
"I really enjoy this job because I believe this is my life passion that God has entrusted to me," Mike shares. Her faith provides both motivation and strength as she navigates the complex challenges of anti-trafficking work. "God who cares and loves me, that is also what I want to give to others. This job is full of challenges, but I believe I am not alone. I have a great team from God."
Mike's vision for PEARL centers on creating meaningful, lasting impact in people's lives through both prevention and rescue from exploitation. She believes that through PEARL's work, individuals will not only find safety but also discover hope and restoration. "What else is important is that through the work of PEARL they know the kindness of God and receive restoration through him," she explains.
At the heart of Mike's leadership philosophy is upholding human dignity and recognizing that every person has immense value. She finds fulfillment in empowering lives and providing hope and motivation to those facing life's greatest challenges. Her approach offers new strength and spirit to people experiencing difficulties, reflecting her core belief that everyone deserves restoration and freedom.
Guided by the principle "Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men," Mike embraces Rick Warren's teaching that "You were created because He has a beautiful design and purpose. You were made for eternity." This eternal perspective shapes her daily commitment to PEARL's mission and her dedication to serving Indonesia's most vulnerable populations.
