As part of the Rumah Mutiara Safe House staff, Tanti will assure the everyday needs of each resident is covered and that each girl/woman feels cared for. She will be present for many night-time shifts as well as daytime needs.

 Working for PEARL’s Rumah Mutiara (RM) fulfills a long-term desire to empower women. Tanti has had the privilege of a good education and practical training experience. She wants to use what she has learned and practiced enhancing other women’s lives. She doesn’t just have information transfer but life transformation. “I want it to stick and live in the hearts of everyone who hears it. So that they, in turn, can be a blessing to many others.”

 She is enthusiastic because she sees PEARL/RM as having clear direction and great potential for growth. She also enjoys the learning process and the contributions she can make, especially with the support of a solid team. Those are some things that drive her to continue improving and delivering the best results.

The best aspect of being part of PEARL is that she can share her knowledge from the nursing and psychology professions, which can support the holistic approach provided at PEARL. She says, “I'm happy to be part of PEARL. I've learned so much from my female colleagues at PEARL. They are some of the most amazing women I've met. From them, I've learned not to live for myself, but to live as a wise woman and be a blessing. The best part of being part of PEARL is that I'm grateful to have such a supportive and positive team.”

 Further inspiration for her to do an excellent job is “I enjoy my work because I love children. I want the children I serve to have a positive impact and the freedom to think, express their opinions, and even create. They can develop and pursue skills that enable them to earn financial independence.”
